Welcome, everyone.
The festive Sagittarius Sun is shining so bright in the heavens, filling us with the desire for truth, scholarly studies and faraway adventure.
Sagittarian rays allow us to enjoy the Full Gemini Moon, which is more student than scholar.
This lunation shares many qualities with its early June sister lunation—the Full Moon in Sagittarius.
What ARE the signs of Gemini and Sagittarius about, after all?
These are the information signs. Gemini is about the trees—small individual details, skepticism, questions. Sagittarius is about the forest—generalizations, proclamations, comprehensive knowledge.
So, at a basic level, we might say the annual Gemini Full Moon is about small clues adding up to big truths. Little trifles that can help us process big Sagittarian truths like gratitude, abundance, thankfulness, good will.
Think of Christmas games, like spinning someone into a dizzy state—then having them swing at a pinata full of presents.
What I want to talk to you about in this newsletter is how to handle the confusion, because there is risk of duplicity right now.
Gemini has an element of masking about it.
Masking allows us to play with interpretations of truth, but it can also be used to deceive.
A swing at the pinata—and a miss—and another miss—and now a hit!
Just like swinging at the truth with verbal debate, Gemini helps us weave in and out of possibilities. Little ways to view the Truth (yes, capital T).
You ask one question, and another, getting closer and closer to the truth. Hopefully, though, you’re not forcing a predetermined answer out of someone by asking questions that manipulate their responses.
Or hopefully someone’s not doing that to you. But that very well may be the case now.
So let’s dive in.
Split Second Escapes
Let’s rewind to the November 23 Sagittarius New Moon. Please go read that newsletter if you haven’t.
It gave us our December story: euphoria is available to purchase, but it’s on backorder, get on the waitlist.
People want to date us or work with us. Projects seem to be attracting inspiration in December.
And yet, there are scheduling conflicts, or confusion about what kind of labels to put on something. A lot of us have been experiencing conflict or confusion within excitement.
Call it a raincheck vibe. Whatever it is, things feel delayed or sideways.
Really, a lot of that delay is coming from retrograde Mars in Gemini.
Mars in Gemini is the consummate locksmith. Let’s break it down.
Mars is about masculine drive, firepower, explosives, gut instinct, immediacy, survival, aggression. Gemini is about cracking codes, solving puzzles, finding the voice for truth.
So, let’s add another layer: Mars is retrograde in Gemini. Retro Mars here is saying 2+2 = 5.
Why is he doing that?
Mars likes to take out the enemy—in this case, Gemini lies that hide truth—with one shot.
But while retrograde, he circles his seducers. Like a double agent, we may have to entertain people, projects or ideas we find questionable, so we can pierce a core truth.
And yet, how do we not fall prey to our deceptive environment? If everybody else right now is saying 2+2 = 5, what stops us from believing that, too? It’s one thing to say conviction will protect you, but it’s hard to say “no” when the heat is on.
Our senses are very clouded, very seduced, especially because Mars has been in harsh relation to Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces—those happy fog machines!
It’s all confusing…and yet all good? Like a femme fatale from James Bond—she’s bad for his mission, and yet he can’t resist sleeping with the enemy.
Here’s an example. People know these everyday Twitter threads are dumber than dumb—and yet the engagement is high, so why not dip in, if it gives us a good truthful idea we can just scrape away all the dirt…
Now, check this out: boom, the Full Gemini Moon lands RIGHT ON retro Mars.
We’ll have to get comfortable sacrificing some strategies when fresh—and better—ones present themselves in this bright light of a Full Moon. It’s all for the purpose of us securing the real truth and nothing but the truth. We may get halfway into an event, assumption, relationship or idea—then hit eject hard.
In the Mission Impossible series, one of the subplots was to sniff out agents who had broken loyalty by working for the other side.
During one scene, agent Ethan Hunt meets for dinner with his superior Kittridge. It’s all very Sagittarian: here they are in faraway Prague, in a secret meeting, hashing out the truth of why Hunt survived an ambush on his team in the field.
The ambush wasn’t Hunt’s fault—but his survival makes it look like he’s a turncoat.
Hunt scans the room. He realizes all the waiters and staff are Mission Impossible agents. He’s been entrapped—placed in great danger trying to uncover the truth. Anger is rising. Kittridge isn’t about to have a chat with Hunt—he’s about to have him killed.
And yet, Hunt spins it all to his advantage. He remembers the exploding bubblegum in his pocket—and instinctively throws it on the gigantic fish tank next to his table. Water flies everywhere. In the confusion Hunt makes his escape. That’s how Neptune and Jupiter in Pisces can aid us now.
Let’s watch:
A lot of things can simplify now if we just release our Martian stubbornness and stop doubting the simple Gemini strategies right in front of us. Like exploding bubblegum in our pocket.
Gemini wants us to believe our eyes. It’s our own backyard, our own pocket.
How do we accept the clues that are here for the taking?
Second Chances
Venus is at the tail end of Sagittarius, harshly squaring Neptune and Jupiter in glamourous Pisces.
It’s a bit like Mars squaring that glamorous duo as of late—except now from a feminine perspective.
All the glamor in the world is coming for our relationships, our loves, our values.
Is this person (or data point) really who they say they are?
Sagittarius is the ultimate klutz, too. Recklessly leaping into danger because it loves knowledge so much. No time to check facts on the way to Truth!
So, let’s add it all up.
I think Venus is the key to this Full Moon. Given the level of contradiction in the air, I think she is calling us to EMBRACE some level of Sagittarian error in our estimations right now.
Yes, it’s dangerous—but the danger of error can be so sexy now. We’re spinning circles with this Gemini Full Moon on retro Mars. The masculine impulse is hamstrung with stubbornness or indecision, but the feminine impulse says, “I’ll seduce you into acting!”
Here’s more beauty for you: Mercury—the ruler of this Full Gemini Moon—pops into cold Capricorn right as the lunation takes place.
This adds a sense that things are on track. Mercury in Capricorn guarantees a straight and narrow solution. It’s just going to come in a very seductive, almost sloppy way!
How fascinating, too, that Mercury is separated from Venus by a mere degree or two.
He’s looking at her from the barren tundra of Capricorn, while she’s frolicking in the alpine meadows of Sagittarius.
This is an insurance policy from the universe, folks.
It is telling us to play the game. To dance with risk. To tango with the enemy agent. To trust that inviting error will lead us to a strategic win.
You see, the real danger is sitting on the sidelines.
Good, festive, Sagittarian treasures can happen if we just start thinking through our biases, our little Gemini thought patterns. Don’t wait until you have a truthful template—just get busy scrapping your stubborn assumptions.
How often do we not give ourselves and others a second chance BECAUSE WE NEVER GAVE OURSELVES AND THEM A CHANCE IN THE FIRST PLACE?
That’s the epiphany of this Full Moon. Things got wonky over the past couple weeks maybe because we were unclear with others, or unclear with ourselves about true desires, motivations, intentions.
And that’s fine. It’s a process. But if you don’t recognize that, you’ll lose the opportunity to eject yourself out of false premises and assumptions!
Striptease Interpretations
There’s a campy old spy film called The Silencers, starring Dean Martin. Appropriate movie title, I know.
At one point, Martin’s on a mission, and finds himself relaxing at a hotel pool. You know, just trying to seem like a normal bloke while gathering intelligence.
A very attractive redhead—hi, fiery Sagittarius—bends over right in front of him and shakes water out of her swimming cap, drenching him.
Then, in Sagittarius klutz fashion, she stumbles away, apologizes, falls into someone else, then orders a cocktail.
Later, she spills the cocktail on Martin after asking him to light her cigarette.
Martin’s a sharp Gemini here. He knows the free cleavage shots and drink spillage is pure Sagittarius excess blended with Piscean deception. Her behavior doesn’t add up.
He’s been targeted—and he knows it. The woman apologizes profusely, and he pretends to treat her as a harmless citizen who’s just bad at flirting.
But what does he do? Danger is here. He seduces the seducer—brings her back to his room, then strips her clothes off in one instantaneous rip.
The woman pouts: “Now do I look like an enemy agent?”
Martin coolly replies like a good Gemini: “I DON’T KNOW.”
And yet, the feeling of not knowing for sure—the possibility that she’s innocent—allows him to act with Martian decisiveness.
He adds: “I haven’t seen all the latest models yet,” i.e. “I’m still gathering intel.”
Leaning in for a kiss, he tackles her and gathers a clue she’s hiding in her lingerie.
The enemy agent has been exposed. Watch here:
I think early December is going to be a lot like this for all of us.
Only when error is a possibility can we act in any decisive way now.
Yes, that’s frustrating—but it’s also very stimulating. No one ever said a Gemini Full Moon was boring.
Get up off the sidelines and get into the process of thinking through our complex state of affairs—one step, one exciting risk at a time.
